Some time ago, in a galaxy called the Milky Way, there was a Sci-Fi movie trilogy that captivated the only world with known living sentient beings. This trilogy was heralded as one of the best visions of the future movies had ever created. It also grossed millions upon millions of dollars worldwide and created the idea of the Summer blockbuster. Unfortunately, twenty years after this seminal series was released into the world, a new set of prequels to this well beloved trilogy was unleashed upon our collective consciousness.

For fans, these movies explained some things and ruined others, but luckily enough they soon passed and are largely ignored. But one beacon of hope has risen, and that is the animated series which packed more emotional depth and excitement in fifteen minute bites than the whole films which preceded them in theaters. Now those clips of joyous entertainment have been expanded into their own weekly series, and they look remarkably good. These cartoons look so good that they almost make you forget about the bad/ passable films which has inspired them. The creator of this world have promised fans will not be disappointed.

The bearded man with the rotund belly has promised many things to his fans in the past. Chiefly among the disappointments were his prequel trilogy which included arguably the most irritating character ever conceived and produced on screen. The “Episodes” which have been released starting with 1999’s Phantom Menace were heartbreakingly bad. But we watched all of them because as a fans we had to. The trailers for all three were pretty good, and you can You Tube them and almost forget how bad the dialogue was. Almost. Even though we have been hurt by George Lucas in the past, like any relationship we try to forget the regrets and exalt in the good times. Star Wars: The Clone Wars series looks like the good times will be here again.
