Writers from the Red Herring Fiction Writers Workshop will read their works at one of Champaign’s most celebrated bar. The reading will be from 5-8 p.m. and will include the works of Gary Doherty, Hilary Taylor Holbrook, Elaine Fowler Palencia, Scott Solomon, Carolyn Trimble and Ralph Trimble.

Latin American artist Fernando Ramirez will demonstrate acrylics on April 18 from noon to 3 p.m. Weather permitting, he will be on the plaza outside of the restaurant. In the event of rain, he will be inside.

Enjoy sweet and tangy barbecue while admiring artist Tatiana Titoya’s “African Dreams” and “Mythical Characters” series. This is a series of prints in the original technique of polystyrene engraving and paintings of African masks.
