The first confirmed list of 2009 Pygmalion Music Festival acts has been announced at pygmalionmusicfestival.com. Included in the list are folk-rockers Iron and Wine, indie-pop-rockers Ra Ra Riot, experimental duo the Books, Pygmalion alumni Margot and the Nuclear So & So's, and the local connection of Polyvinyl Records artists Headlights and Owen. Local acts include Common Loon, Elsinore, the Jips, and Mordechai in the Mirror (among others). The full list of confirmed acts can be found at the event web site.

The 2009 Pygmalion Music Festival will be held from Sept. 16-19 at varying locations in Urbana. Tickets for the event will be on sale Friday, May 1 at 10 a.m.
