Never been read by a psychic? Want a glimpse into your future? Just want to relax? You can find all of these things and more at the Psychic and Health Fair at Beads N Botanicals in Urbana this Saturday, March 21st, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a wide array of psychic readings and healings available to the participants, ranging from palm readings and Tarot readings to foot massages. This event is open to anyone who has an interest in the field, or just simply wants to come, relax and meet people.

      Visitors to the fair will have the chance to experience many different types of psychic and healing services. The list includes a palm reader, a stone reader, three Tarot readers, a psychic, as well as a reiki healer (a type of spiritual healing). Even for those who aren’t particularly interested in healing and psychics, there will also be an expert in Reflexology who gives foot messages, so there is something for everyone.

      Catherine Novak, owner of Beads N Botanicals, has been offering personal Tarot readings in different spots around Champaign-Urbana for the past few years, and now also offers it at her shop since it opened last October. The idea behind the Psychic and Health Fair, however, spurred a couple of months after opening the shop.

“I’ve had a lot of people contact me since I opened the shop here saying that they are interested in other types of psychic readings, not just Tarot readings,” Novak said. “So this fair is really about people meeting different readers in the area. It is a good opportunity to bring a lot of these people together.”

      This Saturday’s event will be Beads N Botanical’s second since the previous one in January. Aside from the reading she already does regularly at the shop, Novak plans to hold the Psychic and Health Fair every two to three months in the future, hoping to bring more people to explore the fascinating field.

“All of our readers are compassionate people who care about the people they’re reading for,” Novak said. “They really try to do the best they can by people. So just come by, visit and have fun!”
