As a kid I would always call these brownies “Daddy Brownies” because my dad would always make them. I used to make these every year on my birthday and bring them to school and they were a big hit! These brownies are light, cake-like and delicious! Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.
Ingredients
2 sticks butter
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups flour
6 tablespoons cocoa
2 tablespoons vanilla
2 cups chopped pecans (optional)
1/4 cup powdered sugar
Directions
1. Set oven at 350° and grease a 9” X 13” pan.
2. Blend butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time and blend.
3. Sift flour and cocoa and add to above mixture. Add vanilla and pecans (if using).
4. Pour into greased pan, and bake about 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the middle of the brownies
5. Once brownies have cooled, dust powdered sugar over the top.
