Search engines have recently been clashing over relevance, layout and accessibility since Microsoft introduced the Bing engine. Recently, an independent project hit the internet to let users decide for themselves which engine actually delivered most consistently.

Blind Search is a search engine taste test that strips the layout and name recognition from searching, leaving only results. The site is simple: type a search into the bar at the top, and search for either web results or images.

Results from three websites are presented in three different columns, without revealing which engine produced those results. Vote for whichever you feel was most accurate, and the site reveals which engine you prefer.

I’d recommend giving this a shot, as Google is what I use most frequently, but only once gave me the optimal results of the ten searches I did.
