Bacaro is a wine bar and Italian restaurant that keeps people’s interests in mind. Whether you want to try something new or experience something you’ve enjoyed in the past, or if you simply want to find a pairing that will take your meal to a whole other level, Bacaro has you covered.

The wine list at Bacaro, compiled by chef/owner Thad Morrow in collaboration with manager and sommelier Eric Steckler, strives to incorporate a wide variety of wine styles. It is not only well-known varietals that you will find by the glass, says Steckler, but also wines that are representative of different areas of Italy, which makes it easy to sample Bacaro’s variety.

The restaurant focuses on wines that come from progressive and boutique producers, value-driven selections, outstanding vintages, wines from a variety of choice regions and, most importantly, wines that are conducive to pairing with food.

“Some people make the mistake of drinking wine without food,” says Morrow. “Wine definitely shows better with food and vice versa. When you have one without the other, both experiences are diminished. Food and wine are definitely best experienced in concert.”

“Wine rules,” he adds.
