Italian dishes seem to be a common favorite for the typical college student. Perhaps this is why there are so many choices of Italian restaurants in CU, such as: the Great Impasta, Za’s, Bacaro and Timpone’s. This year, Biaggi’s Ristorante Italiano was voted the best Italian restaurant in the area.
Biaggi’s offers a variety of dishes on their menus both for lunch and dinner. During lunch, the “Half and Half Lunch Combination” is offered, in which diners can select two meals from three meal choices of unlimited soup, unlimited salad or half a sandwich.
Popular items from the dinner menu include fettuccini with lobster, calabria pizza, spaghetti and meatballs, chicken marsala and chicken piemontese.
For dessert, Biaggi’s offers Italian favorites such as cannolis and gelati e sorbetto, but also includes traditional American dishes such as ice cream sundaes and New York-style cheesecake.
Biaggi’s offers a variety of wines from Italy and the United States to accompany any dish, among several spirits and liqueurs that are also available. It is best to consult the server for recommendations on pairings of drinks and meals.
“It is a really laid-back atmosphere; a nice place with good food,” manager Jordan Holmes said. “The service is top-notch.”

How could Papa Del's not win this category? Without a Best Pizza category this year, Papa D' should have taken Best Italian!

true. it is strange to see franchise restaurants winning things in a best-of list.
...i suppose with the way the ballots work (i.e. not multiple choice), people are bound to list their favorites. and if the people like their chains, they like their chains!

Iam disgusted that Za's is even in the runner up list. I can name plenty of better CU itallian restaraunts.

That's the problem with letting the general population decide... sometimes the general population is pretty stupid (See: current commander-in-chief).

Biaggi's, seriously? Manzella's and Great Impasta are much better and offer terrific local atmosphere.
