As students enjoy long nights of drinking and bar-hopping, many face the same problem the next morning — hangovers. Most students agree the cure to this problem can be found at Merry Ann’s Diner.

“I love Merry Ann’s,” freshman Erin Schmitz said. “My friends and I always go there when we have hangovers. Their waffles are delicious, and it’s hilarious to see who you will run into the next morning!”

Ashley Smith, a waitress of five years at Merry Ann’s Diner, finds that the greatest rush of college students looking for the hangover cure is during 12-3 a.m. and 11:30-1 p.m.

“Most college students looking for ‘the cure’ come at the same times,” said Smith. “They always ask for the Diner Stack, which includes hash browns with a slice of cheese, sausage or hamburger patties, two eggs, a biscuit and delicious gravy on top.”

Merry Ann’s Diner can be found at two locations, 1 E. Main St. and 1510 S. Neil St. in Champaign. Their menu is also available online.

Jeff Brandt says:
I kind of like Merry Ann's but was also a little put off by how quickly my biscuits & gravy were made after I ordered them.

Come on guys. . . At least pretend like you did more than microwave some gravy and slap it on some cut-in-half biscuits.
