For those readers who don’t think a meal is complete without dessert, Moonstruck Chocolate Cafe can satisfy your sweet tooth.
Amanda Kennedy, a manager at Moonstruck, says the most popular drink for the winter months is the Malted Creamy Caramel, but in the summer people prefer the Mint-Tingle milkshake. As far as the chocolates go, many customers opt for the Mayan Truffle, and the Tiramisu cake wins out as the most popular baked good.
Kennedy said “most [customers] are students,” since Moonstruck is on campus, but when school is not in session, locals flock in also.
Ashley Gupta, a sophomore in LAS sips on a medium hot cocoa — what she usually gets at Moonstruck — saying, “I like the atmosphere.”
Her friend Bozena Sawicka, a junior in Engineering, jokes that she “almost lives here,” and she likes to come and study and order either the classic mocha or the latte. While she has also tried the cheesecake, she says she prefers coffee.
Whether to enjoy the atmosphere or satisfy your sweet tooth, Moonstruck is a great place to meet up with friends and indulge in a little bit of chocolate bliss.
James says:
Someone recommended this to me, the Woogie Pie at Farrens. It's wonderful.
