One might not expect Lai Lai Wok to be the best Chinese restaurant in the area, but regular customers know better.

“It’s the consistency,” said Jeff Boyacek, senior in LAS, “It comes out great every time.”

With its large round tables and Chinese decorations, Lai Lai Wok is very popular among those who want to eat a good meal for a good price. Large portions and a variety of choices make many customers happy.

“It’s the best,” said Tito Pedraza, senior in LAS. “The free tea is a plus too.”

Restaurant manager Jennifer Chen said the most popular dishes are the general Tso’s chicken, Mongolian beef, pepper steak and fried rice. Servers wait on customers at their table when eating in, but the restaurant does take-out and delivery as well, which is a large reason for their success in the area.

“We service the tables and do delivery and take out,” Chen said. “We do it all.”
