What movie operates in three separate languages, has slow-reacting robots, and involves smutty writers and a train from nowhere? What movie has metaphors about love, Christmas and men too old to lie to themselves but young enough to still believe? 2046 has all that and some of the best acting talent in all of China. Maggie Cheung, Tony Leung, Zhang Ziyi and Faye Wang join together to tell the tale of a science-fiction writer caught between the memories of his past and the prospects of his future.
